STATUS OF DISTRICT SPCA
As per the PCA Act 59 of 1060(Establishment and Regulation of Societies for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Rules,2001,the SPCA have been formed in District level for better enforcement of Act &Rules and smooth implementation of animal welfare activities in the State.
The Dist. SPCA are governed by its own management Committee, in which the Collector & District Magistrate functions as President, the Superintendent of Police as Vice-President and the Chief District Veterinary Officer as District Honorary Secretary of concerned District SPCAs.
